Request for Grant Application (RGA) Tobacco Prevention and Control Disparity Network

The Utah Department of Health Tobacco Prevention and Control Program (TPCP) wishes to continue to reduce tobacco-related disparities by seeking applications to fund four Tobacco Prevention and Control Disparity Networks for five years.

Four (4) grants will be awarded on a competitive basis. Organizations that represent communities that are targeted by the tobacco industry and/or have high tobacco use rates and/or are at high risk of tobacco use are eligible to apply for this grant.

Grants will be awarded to organizations that represent the following communities: 

  • Racial and ethnic populations
  • LGBTQ
  • Low Income and/or Low Education
  • Mental Health and/ or Substance use populations
  • Homeless
  • Refugee
  • Rural
  • Mentally or Physically Disabled
  • Incarcerated

Priority will be given to grass-root community-based organizations that can demonstrate the capacity to mobilize, organize, and reach communities statewide.

Timeline:
Contract Period: Five years- July 1, 2020- June 30, 2025
Total Grant Award Amount: $55,000 per year for a total of $275,000
Grant Due Date: November 1, 2019 before 11:59pm
