IRS Seeks Workforce Diversity

President Obama recently made an executive order to promote diversity and inclusion government-wide, but the Internal Revenue Service doesn’t need a mandate. The agency already created a comprehensive, 5-year “Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Strategic Plan” to “promot[e] a corporate culture which values diversity and inclusion, maintain a working environment free from unlawful discrimination, and ensur[e] that we continue to hold a deep respect for the civil rights of all of America’s taxpayers.”
