Health snapshots for nearly every county in all 50 states
The 2015 County Health Rankings examine 30 factors that influence health—including adult obesity rates, physical inactivity rates, access to exercise opportunities, and a food environment index that measures both food insecurity and access to healthy food. This year's key findings report shows that 60 percent of the nation’s counties are seeing declines in premature death rates. On the other hand, this year’s report also reveals that almost one out of four children in the U.S. lives in poverty. The report also looks at income distribution within communities, as well as the links between income levels and health.
