Did you know that Hispanic and Latino Americans are at higher risk for type 2 diabetes? This National Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15–October 15) is the perfect time to celebrate history, culture, and family—and focus on preventing type 2 diabetes.
Type 2 diabetes often has no clear symptoms, so if your heritage is Hispanic/Latino and you have any of the risk factors below, talk to your doctor about getting your blood sugar tested:
