Important Information:  CHES preferred; Spanish speaking preferred. 

JOB SUMMARY
Provides county-wide health promotion and risk reduction information and educational programs for older adults. 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Grade 22
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Health Education, Public Health, or a closely related field, or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.

Grade 24
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Health Education, Public Health, or a closely related field, or an equivalent combination of related education and experience plus one (1) year of experience in a field closely related to these duties. Certified Health Education Specialist desirable.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
·          Develops, conducts, coordinates, analyzes and evaluates health education training programs.  
·          Conducts studies, needs assessment and research regarding health promotion and risk reduction.
·          Develops and prepares required reports and data documents.
·          Creates marketing materials and promotes communication and media relations.
