8th annual Hispanic Health Fair in Logan, Utah

The Northern Utah Hispanic Health Coalition (NUHHC) is a partnership of community agencies working to improve culturally competent communication and coordination of services for Hispanics within the Bear River Health District. One of the goals of the NUHHC is to assess and identify Hispanic health needs within our district and increase healthy lifestyles through increased use of community health resources, physical activity, and proper nutrition.

 

As such, the NUHHC is pleased to host the 8th annual Hispanic Health Fair in Logan, Utah. The purpose of this health fair is to introduce the Hispanic community to the many services and resources available in our valley in a language-appropriate and cultural way.

This year the fair will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2016, from 10 am to 1 pm at the Logan Community Recreational Center, in Logan, Utah (195 S 100 W, Logan, UT 84321).

Activities will include:

·        Free health screenings

·        Information booths

·        Physical Activities for the whole family

·        Children’s activities

·        Music

·        Food vendors

·        Prize drawings and more

This is an excellent opportunity for your organization to be a part of a community event, which promotes healthy lifestyles. We cordially invite your organization to participate in this community event by providing an information booth and/or free screenings at the fair to promote your services. We would like to have screenings, information and resources available in both Spanish and English. The NUHHC will provide a Spanish interpreter if needed. Please bring your own tables and chairs, for your booth. Providers of free screenings or other services, as well as providers with donations of $100 or more will be recognized with printing of their business logo on the back of the event t-shirt.
